is freeze-drying? |

Freeze
Drying is the state-of-the-art method of flower preservation. The
Freeze Dry machine slowly extracts moisture from fresh flowers, at
extremely low temperatures. Moisture leaves the cell as ice crystals,
leaving the flower's shape and size intact. |

How
soon do I need to get my flowers to you? |
|
Your
flowers need to be as fresh as possible! The fresher the flowers,
the better the final look! Therefore, we would like to receive your
flowers within 48 hours of the event. However, well-kept flowers will
produce good results after this time. |

How
do I care for my flowers before delivery to CFD? |
|
As
soon as possible, place your special flowers in water in the refrigerator.
Do not freeze! If possible,
give flower stems a fresh cut of ½ inch before placing in water.
Water the center green floral oasis in arrangements and bouquet holders
before placing in the refrigerator. Do not allow your flowers to freeze!
Transport your flowers to us in a pre-cooled environment (i.e. Pre-cool
your cooler or car). |

Can
I have my flowers without a display case? |
|
Carolina Freeze
Dry Flower Preservation will only preserve flowers to be encased as
a keepsake. Our beautiful display cases allow your flowers to be protected
from humidity, light, heat, dust, and insects. |

How
long will my flowers last? |
|
Like
other items of great value, you must do your part to take care of
your keepsake. Place it away from moisture, heat and direct light.
It is not yet known how long freeze dried flowers will last, but under
good conditions, your flowers should last for years! We will provide
you with printed Care Instructions for your convenience. |

if I cannot personally deliver my flowers? |
|
Friends
are always asking for ways to help, and this is their chance. Shipping
of your fresh flowers is also possible. Call for easy shipping instructions. |
